Controlled torque couplings are required in scenarios where the equipments must be protected from shocks, overloads and jams. These couplings consist of a drive plate and a grid coupling hub. They control the amount of torque on the driven side by stalling the clutch whilst the remaining coupling parts on the drive side rotate freely on bearings.
Other models of controlled torque Grid Couplings which are mounted on sprockets T44 and sheaves T-44-2 are also available. Special hybrid assemblies with unique hub arrangements such as T45 and T42 can also be supplied.
